KERKAR ART GALLERY.
Kerkar Art Gallery is one of the most famous sites around Calangute beach. This art gallery exhibits the sculptures and paintings of the upcoming artist of Goa, Subodh Kerkar. Every week, the gallery hosts a night of Indian dance and music. Kerkar Art Gallery is situated within Kerkar Art Complex. This Calangute art gallery also features the sculptures and paintings of some of the renowned artists of Goa. Mainly this art gallery features and exhibits the paintings and sculptures of Subodh Kerkar, an artist who gave up his career in medicine so that he could concentrate on art.

CHURCH OF SAINT ALEX.
Church of St Alex is an architectural marvel. There are two towers, beautiful altars and a magnificent dome with the church’s premises. Calangute church in white dome cannot be missed on your arrival at Calangute. The Church of St Alex holds a pulpit that originally belonged to the church 400 years ago. In the churchyard, there is a grotto of our Lady of Lourdes. The Church of St. Alex was first erected by the villagers in 1595 and is one of the oldest surviving churches in Goa.

MOTTANT MEDICINAL SPRINGS.
The narrow road leading past the Bom Viagem Convent along the cashew-covered foothills, leads to the springs at Mottant. This is an ideal spot for picnics and bathing, as the water is believed to be medicinal. It is one of the popular picnic spots in Calangute, Goa.

BAGA RETREAT HOUSE.
Baga Retreat House is located at Baga hilltop. Overlooking the Arabian Sea and the village, the retreat house is dedicated to Saint Francis Xavier. It was known as the Casa de Retiros.

BAGA BEACH.
Baga Beach is a beautiful rocky beach situated by the beautiful western coast of Goa. It is an extension of the Calangute beach and is surrounded by beautiful cliffs and lovely coconut and palm trees. The wonderful natural surroundings and the idyllic ambience make Baga Beach and ideal holiday destination. An extension of the Calangute beach line. Baga is a perfect gateway to those looking for peace and quiet.



BAGA RIVER.
Baga River has its source at the dense mixed jungles of Assagao and Bardez. This 10 km long river system, rich in aquatic species, is a haunt for the fishermen. At Baga, there is a brand new bridge that crosses over the river. This river separates the lush paddy fields on the south from the settlements on the north. The river flows along the sides of Baga Beach and finally falls into the Arabian Sea at Baga. At the confluence of the river and the sea, there is a group of black rocks making an enchanting view of the nature.

CLUB TITO
Tito’s, the discotheque and Night Club along the coast of Baga in the beautiful state of Goa India was established in 1971. ANJUNA FLEA MARKET
This weekly Wednesday market is located bang on the shore land of Anjuna beach. The flea market is totally different from all Goan or Indian markets. The market is a sunrise to sunset market. Opens only in month of October and closes just before the onset of monsoon rains. Best time for bargains is early morning and late evenings. The flea market consists of 2000+ make shift temporary stalls.

 

 

SOUZA LOBO RESTAURANT
An authentic Goan restaurant on the Calangute beach. To dine and dance to live music on the Portico or eat at the tables on the beach. Excellent sea food and a shack ambience.
